Sidney Morris (Holoien)

Perhaps one of the oldest 222’s Fastpitch Students, is Instructor Sidney Morris (Holoien). Sidney, daughter of Dean Holoien has been a a student of the game of Fastpitch Softball before she knew she was even in school! Sidney’s primary position was pitcher, however, was called upon to play several positions in the infield, and outfield.

“Sid” grew up in the Moose Jaw minor softball system, where she eventually headed to Regina to play her Midget and Jr years.

In 2011, Sidney was selected to play for Team Sask in the Western Canada Summer Games, and in 2013 also was a member of Team Sask Canada Summer Games team.

Sidney went on to play a year of Junior College ball, at Galveston College, as did fellow instructor Dione Blackwell (Meier).
